Get set for Canberra's Socceroos Fan Day

Canberra fans have a great opportunity to see their Socceroo stars up close with a fan day to be held at GIO Stadium on November 10 ahead of Australia's big FIFA World Cup qualifier on November 12.

The Socceroos take on Kyrgyzstan in Canberra on Thursday, November 12 in a vital clash on the road to Russia 2018.

And in a treat for fans, Ange Postecoglou is throwing open the gates on the Tuesday before (Nov 10) for fans to watch the Socceroos in an open training session.

Afterwards, fans will then get the chance to meet their heroes, with a signing session at the end and chance for a quick photo.

Local hero Tom Rogic will be among the star-studded 23-man Socceroo squad, along with the likes of superstar Tim Cahill, Asian Cup hero Massimo Luongo, new Bundesliga star Mathew Leckie and EPL hero Mile Jedinak.

There will also be activities for the young kids, with face painting, pass-the-ball competitions and the chance to meet Socceroo mascot Maloo.

Gates at GIO Stadium open at 4pm, with loads of giveaways and things to do before training gets underway at 5pm.
