RYAN’S ROCKET

The Australian under-23 midfielder has curled in a sublime goal to help Partick Thistle ease past St. Johnstone 3-0.

Edwards will come face-to-face with Caltex Socceroos playmaker Tommy Rogic when Partick host Celtic in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday.

MABIL’S MILESTONE

Meantime, Awer Mabil has made a breakthrough in Portugal.

The former Adelaide United youngster has made his league debut as a substitute for his Primeira Liga side Pacos de Ferreira.

Mabil came off the bench after an hour in a 1-0 loss.
