Aussies abroad: striker returns to Bundesliga club
Socceroo attacker Robbie Kruse has returned to Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen after his loan to VFB Stuttgart was cut short.
Kruse joined Stuttgart – alongside Socceroo gloveman Mitch Langerak – at the start of this season on loan until the end of the campaign.
But 27-year-old has struggled to break with injuries and failed to break into the first-team at Stuttgart, with his parent club opting to take him back early.
