Caltex Socceroos: Group B results and ladder

Japan and Saudi Arabia are now three points clear of Australia at the top of the Group B table after overnight World Cup qualification action.

SUMMARY

Next Tuesday, Japan host Thailand and Saudi Arabia are at home to Iraq.

You’d assume home wins there (though Australia will be praying for an upset in either or both).

But, the reality is, three points is desperately needed on Tuesday night against UAE in Sydney.

Any other result would be a big blow for Australia’s quest to finish in the top two.
