Cammy Devlin pens two-year deal with Rangers

CommBank Socceroos midfielder Cammy Devlin will remain in the Scottish Premiership after signing a two-year deal with giants Rangers following the expiration of his contract at Heart of Midlothian, subject to international clearance.

The-28-year-old will call the Ibrox home for the next two seasons, with option for an additional year and reunites with former boss Derek McInnes, who joined the Glasgow club last month on a three-year contract.

Devlin spent the previous five seasons at Hearts, accumulating a total of 176 appearances, while scoring eight goals and registering 12 assists and was very much a favourite at Tynecastle Park.

He particularly thrived under McInnes last campaign as Hearts recorded their highest Scottish Premiership points tally in the club’s history, but agonisingly missed out on the league title on the final day of the campaign against Celtic.

Devlin, who has five caps for his country, was named in Australia's FIFA World Cup™ 2026 squad due to his outstanding form though was an unused substitute in all four games.

Following his decision to commit his future to Rangers, Devlin told the club's official social media accounts: “To call myself a Rangers player now feels pretty special and I just cannot wait to get started.”

Devlin is not the first Socceroo to ply their trade at the Gers with the likes of club legends Craig Moore and Tony Vidmar as well as Kevin Muscat all representing the outfit.
