Former Socceroos To Get Together Before Big Game

Among the main parties and functions that will held in conjunction with the second leg of the FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, will be several involving former Socceroo players and teams.

At the Clydesdale Pavilion at the Sydney Showgrounds, The Socceroo Club, with support from Football Federation Australia and the Australian Professional Footballers Association, is holding a Destiny 06 Pre-Australia v Uruguay reunion.

From 4.00pm - 7.00pm on Wednesday 16th November, all former Socceroo players are welcome to join in the pre-match celebrations, with a lot of reminiscing among former team mates and their invited guests.

Any former Socceroo players that have not already received an invitation to the event and wish to attend need to pre-book their tickets and should contact Rebecca Yolland on 03 8552 3122 for more information on how to order tickets.

Separate functions are also being held by the 1965 team, which were the first Socceroo team to play in a World Cup finals qualifying campaign, while the 1974 World Cup team, the only Australian team to play in a finals, is also getting together once again.
