The CommBank Socceroos take on five-time FIFA World Cup™ champions Brazil in a pair of friendly fixtures in Queensland later this month and here is everything you need to know.
Tony Popovic’s side will take on Brazil in two matches: at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Townsville (Friday, 25 September) and Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane (Tuesday, 29 September).
It will be both teams' first games since the FIFA World Cup™ which concluded in July, and will serve as ideal preparation against a world-class opponent as attention turns to January's AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™.
The two nations have met on nine previous occasions and last encountered in June 2017 at the MCG in Melbourne. The South Americans have dominated the head-to-head meetings recording seven wins, one draw and one loss.
That defeat took place at the 2001 Confederations Cup where the Aussies secured a famous 1-0 triumph in the third-place playoff.

The first international friendly in Townsville against the Seleção will be streamed live and free on Australia's 'Home of Football,' Network 10 and 10 Streaming. The match will also be streamed live on Paramount+.
