Jordan Bos completes transfer to Dutch giants Feyenoord

Subway Socceroos defender Jordan Bos has completed a move to Dutch Eredivisie giants Feyenoord in a permanent transfer from Belgian Pro League side KVC Westerlo until June 2029.

The 22-year-old had spent the past two seasons in Belgium having joined from Melbourne City in a record-breaking transfer, and now arrives at the Rotterdam club on a four-year deal for a fee reportedly in the region of €5 million ($8.9 million AUD).

At Westerlo, the dynamic full-back recorded seven goals and five assists in 46 appearances.

Bos, who has 19 caps and one goal for Australia since his senior debut in March 2023 against Ecuador, was excited about the next chapter in his career in the Eredivisie.

Bos will provide Feyenoord boss and Dutch icon Robin van Persie with another option at left-back after the earlier departures of Hugo Bueno and Quilindschy Hartman. He has been provisionally assigned the number 15 jersey.

Feyenoord's inaugural competitive match of the new 2025/26 season is the first leg of a UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie against Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce on Tuesday, 5 August (AEST).

Bos joins a long list of Australian internationals to have signed for the 16-time league winners, including the likes of Brett Emerton, Luke Wilkshire, Aurelio Vidmar, Dave Mitchell and Brad Jones.
