Jordy Bos: It's really nice to score for your country
Jordan Bos said it was great to be back in hometown city of Melbourne as the CommBank Socceroos prepare for their final match on home soil before the FIFA World Cup™ on Tuesday night.
The Aussies host World Cup opponent Curaçao in their second FIFA Series 2026™ clash after defeating Cameroon 1-0 on Friday.
Bos scored the decisive goal at Accor Stadium, finding the back of the net in consecutive matches for his country and reflected on that performance while looking ahead to another important fixture.

Assessment of performance against Cameroon
We're happy with the result and we just have to keep going leading into the game on Tuesday. Obviously the game itself was a bit up and down, but we got the result and a clean sheet. So that's what's important.
Scoring third goal for Socceroos
It's always really nice to score for your country and score any goal at all. So really happy with that.
Being back in Melbourne
It means a lot (to be playing in Melbourne). I've got a lot of family and friends coming, so have got to get the tickets ready. But it's really cool, especially AAMI Park, the old home ground from Melbourne City, so looking forward to it.
Development as a player since moving to Europe
Looking back, it's only been three years or something, but I think everything's been going so fast and hopefully I can keep going and it's really cool to look at... Feyenoord is a big club in Holland. The whole city is all about it, and they'll let you know if they're not happy as well. But it's pretty nice to just be surrounded by culture that is so influenced by football. They really give their all to the club so it's really nice.
Playing under Robin van Persie
I think just his sheer experience, he's been one of the biggest players in football. He's got a lot of experience to share and how he goes about stuff is really nice. And having him there, and a bit of confidence in me as well, playing me and stuff like that, it's really good for my confidence also.
Facing Curaçao
I think we just have to play our game and get the result. Because obviously it's our last game before we head to the US. So just get the result and get some momentum leading into the World Cup.
