Maclaren strike decisive as Olyroos down Turkey
The Olyroos have continued preparations for January’s AFC U23 Championships with an impressive 1-0 win over Turkey’s under-21 outfit in Istanbul overnight.
Brisbane Roar recruit Jamie Maclaren continued his sparkling pre-season form with a clinical finish past the keeper in the 13th minute.
Fringe Socceroos Adam Taggart, Daniel Da Silva and Awer Mabil enjoyed much needed game-time in the second half as the Olyroos build toward securing their passage to the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The Olyroos’ next game is against FYR Macedonia in Skopje on Monday.
