The Subway Socceroos striker was in fine form in front of goal and led the line with strength and speed at HBF Park in Perth.
It was perhaps his best performance in an Australia shirt, but speaking after the game, Yengi said there is still more he can improve on.
That's the game that I've scored the most goals, which is what I'm meant to do, so I was involved in quite a bit.
“It was a good game, but I still had some sloppy touches and some things that I can improve on for sure.”
His second goal of the evening featured some fancy footwork inside the box to beat a defender before a powerful strike into the corner.
Yengi said: “I just saw Boyle with the ball and just kind of peeled off, the other centre-back and kept my body open, hoping that he'd played me the ball,” he said.
“I turned and kept the ball close to my body and I knew the defender was going to come in hard, so chopped it once and then he covered the goal quite well, so just moved it again to the side and then put it in the bottom corner.”
Currently, there is healthy competition in the forward line for the Socceroos, but Yengi remains confident that if he keeps playing well, he will be rewarded.
“My job is just to go out there and try my best and contribute to the team and if I'm playing well and being successful then I'm sure Arnie (Graham Arnold) will reward me,” he said.

He did say that as a squad there has been vast improvements in the most recent camps as the players have begun to understand the new system better, and each other’s style of play.
“That's part of international football, you come into a camp for a short period of time and have to play sometimes with players that you've never played with before,” he said.
Slowly over the year we've gotten better, and we've improved in our performances and how we link up on the field.
On a personal note, Yengi said this past 12 months for him have been great, but he has already set his sights on doing even better over the next year.
“It's been a good 12 months, I don't think it's been the best or the worst, it's all been learning,” he said.
“I've had some great experiences and now I'm getting to new heights representing the national team and promotion with Portsmouth which is really exciting and fun.
“But I'm looking to build on those things next year and then keep improving and scoring more goals and having next year be an even better 12 months.”
