Mo Toure secures transfer to Norwich City until at least 2030

CommBank Socceroos forward Mo Toure has signed with EFL Championship outfit Norwich City on a four-and-a-half-year contract from Danish Superliga side Randers, with the option for an additional 12 months.

The 21-year-old is the latest to ply his trade in England's second division, making the switch before the January Transfer Window closes.

Toure will call Carrow Road home until at least the summer of June 2030 for an undisclosed fee, and arrives at the club after scoring 12 goals and registering nine assists in 48 appearances in Denmark.

Born in Guinea to Liberian parents and raised in Australia, Toure started his professional career with Adelaide United, becoming the youngest goalscorer in A-League history at just 15 years old in 2020. He subsequently moved to Europe to join Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims, where he made three top-flight appearances while learning his craft with the B side.

He quickly moved on loan to Paris FC to gain more first-team experience in Ligue 2, before signing with Randers.

The prodigious striker has accumulated eight caps for Australia, where he made his senior debut against England at Wembley in October 2023. In September 2025, he scored his first goals for his country, a brace against New Zealand in Auckland, as Tony Popovic's side clinched the Soccer Ashes trophy.

Having put pen-to-paper with the Canaries, Touré told the club's official website: "I’ve known the club for a very long time and I’m excited to get started. I’m here to learn and develop, and I’ve heard that Philippe Clement has had a big influence on the players and has brought out the best in them.

"It’s an environment I want to be in and I want to improve under him. I love to work hard - every time I'm on the pitch, I try my best for the badge."

Sporting director Ben Knapper added: "Mohamed is a really exciting player and someone we have followed closely since he first moved to Europe back in 2022.

"Since then, he has developed significantly in all aspects of his game. He has a high ceiling and, for someone of a young age, he already has plenty of experience in a number of different countries and leagues, as well as on the international stage.

"We're all incredibly excited to welcome him to Norwich City and we're looking forward to seeing him further develop and help contribute to our goals in both the short and long term."

Toure will wear the number 37 jersey and could make his maiden appearance for the club at home against Lewis Miller's Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, 11:30pm AEDT.
