There is a big weekend ahead for some Socceroos abroad as they either put on the finishing touches ahead of the season or get their first taste of competitive action in the coming days.
During the week, Jason Cummings grabbed his first two goals of the season in India, while Patrick Yazbek continued his impressive start to life in the United States.

Jason Cummings (cap #626) notched a brace for Mohun Bagan SG in their 6-0 win over Indian Air Force on Thursday night in the Durand Cup. The Mariners finished top of their group, seeing them through to the next round of the competition.
Patrick Yazbek (cap #641) played his second match for Nashville as the side went out on penalties against New England in the Leagues Cup on Wednesday. The midfielder started the match and picked up the assist for Nashville’s only goal in his 77 minutes on the field.
In the J1 League, Mitch Duke (cap #559) came off the bench in the 68th minute of Machida Zelvia’s 0-0 draw with Cerezo Osaka on Wednesday night. Duke could get some more minutes on Sunday at 7:00pm (AEST) when Zelvia host Shonan Bellmare.
Elsewhere in the competition on Wednesday, Mitch Langerak (cap #566) was the goalkeeper for Nagoya Grampus’ 3-2 loss to Kyoto Sanga. Langerak is likely to be in goal again for the side on Sunday at 8:00pm (AEST) against Tokyo Verdy.
Also, Thomas Deng (cap #598) played a full game as Albriex Niigata drew 2-2 with Jubilo Iwata. The defender could start on Monday at 8:00pm (AEST) against Kyoto Sanga.
Joe Gauci (cap #631) played the first half of Aston Villa’s 3-2 win against Athletic Club in a friendly on Thursday morning. Gauci could start again when Villa face Borussia Dortmund on Sunday at 1:00am (AEST).
Maty Ryan (cap #555) kept a clean sheet in his full game for Roma as they beat Barnsley 4-0 in a friendly on Wednesday morning. The Socceroos captain might get some more game time when Roma take on Everton on Sunday at 2:00am (AEST) ahead of the start of their Serie A season.
Riley McGree (cap #509) could start for Middlesbrough in their first game of the EFL Championship season against Swansea City on Saturday at 9:30pm (AEST).
Samuel Silvera (cap #634) and Kusini Yengi (cap #638) could earn minutes on Saturday at 9:30pm (AEST) in Portsmouth’s EFL Championship opener against Leeds United.
