Socceroos Abroad: Bos and McGree shine, Nisbet, D'Agostino and Maclaren score

Jordy Bos and Riley McGree stole the spotlight among Aussies abroad this weekend while Josh Nisbet, Nick D’Agostino, and Jamie Maclaren found the back of the net for their respective clubs.

Starting in the Belgian First Division A, Jordy Bos (cap #632) came off the bench in the 79th minute and scored the fourth goal in a 4-0 win for KVC Westerlo when they hosted KV Kortrijk on Monday.

 

Aiden O’Neill (cap #629) also played a full game for Standard de Liège as they beat Cercle Brugge KSV 1-0 on Sunday, bouncing back from defeat in their last match to move towards the top six.

In the Premier League, Cam Burgess (cap #633) started and played a full game for Ipswich Town as they hosted Manchester United in Ruben Amorim's first game in charge on Monday. Massimo Luongo (cap #571) was also an unused substitute in the 1-1 draw. 

In the English Championship, Riley McGree (cap #509) came off the bench in the 75th minute for Middlesbrough and assisted the fifth goal in a 6-2 win over Oxford United on Sunday.

Harry Souttar (cap #606) also played a full game for Sheffield United in a 2-2 draw with Coventry City FC on Saturday. Despite conceding two goals, Souttar had another solid game with 80% of his aerial duels won and 79% pass accuracy. 

Elsewhere in the league, Alexander Robertson's (cap #630) played 60 minutes for Cardiff City in a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

In England's League One, Keanu Baccus (cap #628) played 74 minutes for Mansfield Town in a 1-0 loss to Bristol Rovers on Sunday.

In the Eredivisie, recent Socceroos call-up Max Balard played a full game for NAC Breda on Monday and assisted the first goal in a 2-2 draw with  Willem II.

 

In Scotland, Josh Nisbet (cap #642) played the full game and scored the winner for Ross County on Sunday in a 2-1 win over Apostolos Stamatelopoulos' (cap #644) Motherwell. Stamatelopoulos also started and played 69 minutes. 

The ball came to Nisbet on the edge of the box from a corner kick and he skipped past one challenge before firing into the back of the net - after clipping the inside of the post.

Kye Rowles (cap #622) also played a full game while Cameron Devlin (cap #625) played 79 minutes for Heart of Midlothian as they lost 4-1 to Celtic on Sunday.

Lewis Miller (cap #635) came off the bench in the 34th minute while Martin Boyle (cap #599) was also brought on in the 67th minute for Hibernian in a 4-1 loss to Dundee on Sunday.

In Norway’s Eliteserien, Nick D'Agostino (cap #621) made an impressive appearance off the bench at half time for Viking FK, scoring a double against FK Haugesund on Sunday in a 5-1 win.

In India, Jamie Maclaren (cap #584) played 87 minutes and scored a goal for Mohun Bagan SG before being replaced by Jason Cummings (cap #626) in a 3-0 win over Jamshedpur FC on Sunday. Dimitri Petratos (cap # 593) also played a full game. 

 It was Maclaren's third goal of the season as Bagan went top of the table. 

In the Bundesliga, Jackson Irvine (#568) played another full game for St Pauli as they lost 2-0 to Borussia Mönchengladbach on Monday. 

Over in Germany at Bayern Munich Nestory Irankunda (cap #643) played the first half for their second team in their 1-1 Regionalliga draw against SpVgg Bayreuth on Saturday. 

In Italy's Serie A, Maty Ryan (cap #555) was on the bench as Roma lost 1-0 to league-leaders Napoli on Monday in Claudio Ranieri's first game in charge.

Elsewhere in Italy, Ajdin Hrustic (cap #589) came off the bench in the 87th minute for Salernitana in Serie B as they lost 4-0 to US Sassuolo Calcio on Sunday.

In Saudi Arabia, Craig Goodwin (cap #562) played 76 minutes for Al-Wehda as they secured a much-needed 1-0 win over Al-Taawoun FC on Sunday to lift them out of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile in Denmark, Mohamed Toure (cap #636) played 82 minutes while Paul Izzo was in goal for Randers in a 2-0 win over Vejle Boldklub on Monday.

Elsewhere in the Danish Superliga, John Iredale (cap #640) played 57 minutes for AaB Fodbold in a 0-0 draw with Viborg FF.

In Croatia’s HNL, Fran Karacic (cap #607) played a full game for NK Lokomotiva in a 1-1 draw with NK Varaždin on Sunday.

In the Greek Super League, Jason Davidson (cap #545) was an unused substitute for Panserraikos in a 2-1 win over Athens Kallithea FC on Saturday.

Kenny Dougall (cap #608) played a full game for Buriram United in a 2-0 win over Sukhothai FC on Friday in the Thai League.

In K-League 1, Harrison Delbridge (cap #623) played a full game for Incheon United as they suffered relegation despite a 3-1 win over Daegu on Sunday.

In Austria's Bundesliga, Jacob Italiano came off the bench in the 62nd minute for Grazer AK in a 2-1 win over FC Blau-Weiß Linz on Monday.

Louis D'Arrigo came off the bench in the 89th minute for Lechia Gdansk as they lost 3-0 to Pogoń Szczecin on Sunday.

Elsewhere, Nectarios Triantis played 80 minutes and scored an own goal for Hibernian as they lost 4-1 to Dundee on Sunday.
