Socceroos Abroad: Bos assists twice, Toure grabs assist, Geria scores in Japan

Jordan Bos pulled the strings in the Eredivisie and Jason Geria got on the scoresheet in Japan to lead a packed weekend for the Socceroos Abroad.

Starting in the Eredivisie, where Jordan Bos (cap #632) played the first half and assisted twice for Feyenoord as they beat Telstar 2-1 on Monday.

Bos featured in a more advanced role as a left winger and the move paid dividends.


Ajdin Hrustic (cap #589) also played a full game for Heracles Almelo in a 4-0 loss to Go Ahead Eagles on Monday.

Max Balard (cap #652) played 84 minutes for NAC Breda in a 1-0 win over FC Volendam on Sunday. 

In the Championship, Mohamed Toure (cap #636) played 71 minutes and grabbed an assist a Norwich lost 2-1 to Birmingham on Sunday. The 21-year-old was unlucky not to add more goal to his blistering start with the Canaries with five attempts at goal and two of them on target.

Riley McGree (cap #509) came off the bench in the 60th minute as Middlesbrough drew 0-0 with Oxford United on Sunday. 

Nestory Irankunda (cap #643) returned for Watford and played 68 minutes in a 2-0 win over Callum Elder's (cap #614) Derby County on Sunday. Elder also played 62 minutes.

Cameron Burgess (cap #633) played another full game for Swansea in a 1-0 win over Bristol City on Saturday.

Adrian Segecic came on in the 70th minute for Portsmouth in a 3-1 win over third-placed Millwall on Sunday, moving up to 19th on the Championship ladder after back-to-back wins.

In EFL League One, Alex Robertson (cap #630) played a full game for league leaders Cardiff City on Saturday in a 5-2 loss to Plymouth Argyle FC.

Joe Gauci (cap #631) was also in goal for Port Vale in League One on Sunday in a 1-1 draw with Reading.
