Socceroos Abroad: Bos assists, Yazbek shines with two assists, Circati helps keep clean sheet

Patrick Yazbek’s two assists for Nashville, Jordan Bos setting up a goal for Feyenoord, and a dominant clean-sheet win for Kai Trewin and Aiden O’Neill at New York City FC headlined another busy weekend for the Socceroos Abroad.

Starting in the MLS, Patrick Yazbek (cap #641) played another 90 minutes and assisted twice for Nashville in a 3-1 win over Minnesota United FC on Sunday.

Nashville SC remain unbeaten in their first three league matches of the season.


On Monday, Kye Rowles (cap #622) also played a full game for DC United in a 2-1 loss to Lionel Messi's Inter Miami on Sunday.

Kai Trewin (cap #656) and Aiden O'Neill (cap #629) both played the full 90 minutes as New York City FC recorded a dominant 5–0 win over Orlando City SC at Yankee Stadium. The result extended NYCFC’s unbeaten start to the 2026 MLS season and lifted them to the top of the Eastern Conference standings.

In the Eredivisie, Jordan Bos (cap #632) played a full game and assisted for Feyenoord as they drew 3-3 with Max Balard's (cap #652) NAC Breda on Monday. It was the defender's sixth of the Eredivisie season. Balard also played a full game.

 

 

Elsewhere in the league, Ajdin Hrustic (cap #589) played a full game for Heracles Almelo in a 0-0 draw with FC Utrecht on Saturday.

In the Championship, Riley McGree (cap #509) played 83 minutes for Middlesbrough in a 4-0 win over QPR on Monday.

Cameron Burgess (cap #633) played the full 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet as Swansea City secured a 2–0 win over Stoke City on Sunday. It marked his 11th clean sheet of the Championship season, with the victory lifting Swansea into 14th on the table.

Adrian Segecic came on in the 70th minute for Portsmouth in a 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

In the Fifth Round of the FA Cup, Joe Gauci (cap #631) made five saves to keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 over Premier League side Sunderland. The EFL League One side now advance to the Quarter-finals. 

In EFL League One, Alex Robertson (cap #630) played another 90 minutes for Cardiff City on Saturday in a 2-0 loss to Lincoln City.

In League Two, Gethin Jones (cap #639) came on in the 60th minute for MK Dons on Sunday in a 4-1 win over Harrogate Town AFC. 

In Italy's Serie A, Alessandro Circati (cap #637) played a full game and kept a clean sheet for Parma in a 0-0 draw with ACF Fiorentina on Monday.


In Spain, Maty Ryan (cap #555) was in goal for Levante in a 1–1 draw with Girona FC on Sunday, leaving the club three points adrift of safety in the relegation zone.

In Germany's Bundesliga, Jackson Irvine (cap #568) played a full game for St Pauli in a 0-0 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt on Monday. Connor Metcalfe (cap #611) also came off the bench in the 82nd minute.

In the Cypriot First Division, Milos Degenek (cap #585) came off the bench in the 19th minute for APOEL FC in a 0-0 draw with Anorthosis Famagusta FC on Monday.

In Croatia, Fran Karacic (cap #607) played a full game for NK Osijek on Saturday in a 1-0 win over NK Istra 1961.

Elsewhere in Croatia, Anthony Kalik, a September 2025 call up, was an unused substitute for Hajduk Split on Monday in a 3-1 loss to GNK Dinamo Zagreb.

Keanu Baccus (cap #628) played 64 minutes for St. Mirren on Sunday in the Scottish Cup as they beat Partick Thistle FC 2-1 to advance.

Ryan Strain (cap #624) was an unused substitute for Dundee United in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals on Saturday as they lost 2-1 to Falkirk.

Moving back to the Netherlands, Josh Nisbet (#642) played a full game for Roda JC Kerkrade in a 2-0 loss to Jong PSV on Saturday. 

In Spain's second tier, Awer Mabil (cap #597) came on in the 68th minute for Castellón in a 4-2 loss to Real Sociedad B on Sunday. 

In the Czech First League, Garang Kuol (cap #627) came off the bench in the 68th minute for Sparta Prague as they lost 3-1 to SK Slavia Prague in a top-of-the-table clash.

In the Austrian Bundesliga, Jacob Italiano (cap #653) played 79 minutes for Grazer AK on Monday in a 2-0 loss to WSG Tirol.

In the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Tomi Juric (cap #561) played 62 minutes and scored a goal for HŠK Zrinjski Mostar in a 2-1 win over FK Radnik Bijeljina on Monday. It is now four goals in his past two league matches as the focus now turns to the domestic cup.

In Japan, Kusini Yengi (cap #638) was an unused substitute for Cerezo Osaka as they drew 0-0 with Shimizu S-Pulse on Saturday in the J1 League before winning 4-2 on penalties.
