Martin Boyle stole the spotlight in Scotland over the weekend during a battle of the Aussies, delivering a standout performance for Hibernian in their 2-1 victory over Hearts on Monday.

Starting in Scotland, where Martin Boyle (cap #599) featured for 85 minutes after scoring the opening goal in Hibernian's 2-1 win over Hearts on Monday.

 

Nectarios Triantis also played a full game while Lewis Miller (cap #635) came off the bench in the 45th minute and fellow Aussie Jack Iredale scored the winner for Hibs.

Subway Olyroo Calem Nieuwenhof also played 69 minutes for Hearts.

Hibs last achieved back-to-back victories over Hearts in the top flight back in 2009 and are now unbeaten in 15 matches across all competitions.

They currently sit one point ahead of Aberdeen in fourth place, following Aberdeen's 2-2 draw with Dundee United in Sunday's other Premiership fixture. Ryan Strain (cap #624) played a full game in that match.

Elsewhere in Scotland, Josh Nisbet (cap #642) came off in the 93rd minute for Ross County in a 1-0 win over Kilmarnock FC on Sunday. The victory lifts them into eighth position.

In the Scottish Championship, Ryan McGowan (cap #546) played a full game for Livingston on Saturday in a 1-1 draw against Partick Thistle FC.

Dylan McGowan (cap #590) was an unused substitute for Hamilton Academical on Saturday in a 2-2 draw with league-leaders Falkirk FC.

In Switzerland, Nestory Irankunda (cap #643) played 64 minutes for Grasshopper as they beat BSC Young Boys 1-0 on Monday.

Irankunda has enjoyed a stellar run of three assists in six games which saw the Socceroos forward pick up the Player of the Month award in his first full month at the club.

In the English Championship, Kusini Yengi (cap #638) came off the bench in the 63rd minute for Portsmouth as they suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss to relegation candidates Luton Town on Sunday.

Pompey, who had moved nine points clear of the relegation zone following three successive wins, were second best throughout and only managed one attempt on target.

In injury news, Portsmouth have confirmed that Hayden Matthews (cap #648) has unfortunately suffered an ankle injury that will rule him out for the rest of the season.

It is a blow to Matthews, 20, who had enjoyed a promising start to life in England after his rapid ascent to a Socceroos debut late last year.

 

Elsewhere, Callum Elder (cap #614) Derby County played a full game in a 1-0 loss to a Middlesbrough side featuring Tom Glover on the bench on Sunday.

In League One, Keanu Baccus (cap #628) started and played 86 minutes for Mansfield Town in a 1-1 draw with Burton Albion FC on Sunday.

Samuel Silvera (cap #634) came off the bench in the 71st minute for Blackpool again on Sunday in a 2-1 loss to Stockport County FC in League One.

Alex Robertson (cap #630) came off the bench in the 65th minute to return from injury on Saturday in the fifth round of the FA Cup as they lost 2-0 to Aston Villa.

In the German Bundesliga, Jackson Irvine (cap #568) played another full game for St. Pauli as they lost 2-0 to Borussia Dortmund on Sunday. The loss leaves them four points above the relegation zone.

In France, Mathew Ryan (cap #555) was in goal again for RC Lens as they lost 4-3 to Le Havre AC in a chaotic game on Sunday.

In the Belgian First Division A, Aiden O’Neill (cap #629) played a full game for Standard Liege in a 2-0 loss to R.S.C. Anderlecht on Monday.

In Serie B, Ajdin Hrustic (cap #589) came off the bench in the 87th minute for Salernitana in a 2-0 loss to Cesena FC on Sunday.

Staying in the United States, Patrick Yazbek (cap #641) came off the bench in the 58th minute for Nashville SC as they lost 2-0 to New York Red Bulls on Sunday.

In Saudi Arabia, Craig Goodwin (cap #562) came off the bench in the 82nd minute for Al-Wehda in a 0-0 draw with Al-Fayha FC on Sunday.

In the J1 League, Jason Geria (cap #586) came off the bench in the 84th minute for Albirex Niigata in a 2-2 draw with Cerezo Osaka on Sunday.

Jed Drew came off the bench in the 63rd minute on Sunday for TSV Hartberg in a 3-0 loss to Wolfsberger AC in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Cameron Peupion played 91 minutes for ADO Den Haag in a 2-1 win over ADO Den Haag in Eerste Divisie on Monday.
