Starting in England, where Cameron Burgess (cap #633) played another full game for Swansea City on Thursday, and what a game it was.

The newly appointed skipper, who joined from Ipswich Town in the off-season, opened his goalscoring account with a 68th-minute header from a corner to bring Swansea back into the contest after Igor Jesus’ first-half brace had put Nottingham Forest 2-1 ahead.

Zan Vipotnik then levelled deep into stoppage time, setting the stage for Burgess to steal the show. When Ethan Galbraith’s thunderous strike cannoned off the post, the ball fell kindly to Burgess, who connected sweetly with a left-footed volley to score the winner and knock Ange Postecoglou’s Forest out of the EFL Cup.
