Socceroos Abroad: Circati, McGree and Ryan headline return to action in Europe and Asia

After a successful international window, where the CommBank Socceroos defeated Cameroon and Curaçao 1-0 and 5-1 respectively, our Aussies abroad return to overseas action this weekend.

CommBank Socceroos

Starting in Spain’s La Liga, Maty Ryan (cap #555) is likely to start in goal for Levante when they travel to Real Sociedad on Saturday at 11:00 pm (AEDT).

In Serie A over in Italy, Alessandro Circati (cap #637) is expected to start for Parma when they travel to Lazio on Sunday at 4:45 am (AEST).

In the German Bundesliga, Jackson Irvine (cap #568) and Connor Metcalfe (cap #611) should be in St. Pauli’s squad when they face Union Berlin on Sunday at 11:30 pm (AEST).

Looking to the Netherlands, Jordan Bos (cap #632) is in line for a start when Feyenoord make the trip to Volendam on Sunday at 10:30 pm (AEST) in Eredivisie.
 


Elsewhere in the competition, Ajdin Hrustic (cap #589) could start for Heracles as they take on Heerenveen at the same time.

Also, Max Balard (cap #652) should start when NAC Breda host Sparta Rotterdam on Monday at 12:45 am (AEDT).

Over in the EFL Championship, Riley McGree (cap #609) could start tonight at 10:30 pm (AEDT) as second-placed Middlesbrough host fellow high flyers Millwall, who sit in 4th.

Watford’s Nestory Irankunda (cap #643) should make the squad to face Queens Park Rangers on Saturday at 1:00 am (AEDT).

At the same time, Cameron Burgess (cap #633) could start for Swansea City as they travel to Sheffield United.

Callum Elder (cap #614) might be in Derby County’s squad to face Coventry City on Saturday at 6:00 am (AEDT).

Elsewhere in England, Joe Gauci (cap #631) could start in goal when Port Vale face English Premier League giants Chelsea on Sunday at 2:15 am (AEST) in the FA Cup.

In MLS, Aiden O'Neill (cap #629) and Kai Trewin (cap #656) are expected to start for New York City at home to St. Louis City on Sunday at 9:30 am (AEST).
 


Lucas Herrington (cap #658) is likely to start for Colorado Rapids away to Toronto on Sunday at 3:00 am (AEST).

Also, Kye Rowles (cap #622) should be in DC United’s team when they host Dallas on Sunday at 9:30 am (AEST).
