There was also some transfer news during the week, headlined by Maty Ryan securing a move to Spain.
This is the last weekend of club action before the international break where Head Coach Tony Popovic announced his 25-player squad for the two-match Soccer Ashes series against New Zealand on Friday morning.

To begin with, there was some transfer news during the week as Maty Ryan (cap #555) completed his move to La Liga side Levante. Ryan played the second half of the 2024/25 campaign with French top-flight outfit Lens.
In other European transfer news, Marco Tilio (cap #616) has signed for Rapid Wien in the Austrian Bundesliga. Tilio lifted the A-League Men's Championship with Melbourne City last campaign.
There were two Aussies involved in European qualification on Friday morning.
Martin Boyle (cap #599) scored for Hibernian, playing until the 90th minute as the side drew 3-3 with Legia Warszawa after extra time in UEFA Conference League Qualification. Hibs will not advance in the competition, losing 5-4 on aggregate.
Kusini Yengi (cap #638) and the newly called-up Nicolas Milanovic both came on in the 66th minute for Aberdeen as they lost 3-0 to FCSB in UEFA Europa League Qualification, going out 5-2 on aggregate. Yengi might start when Aberdeen face Falkirk on Monday at 12:00 am (AEST) in the Scottish Premiership.
Continuing in Scotland's Premiership, Boyle is likely to start against Keanu Baccus' (cap #628) St. Mirren on Monday at 12:00 am (AEST).
There were plenty of Socceroos who lined up for the respective clubs in Round 2 of the EFL Cup on Wednesday morning.
Starting with Joe Gauci (cap #631), who kept his first clean sheet for Port Vale as they stunned EFL Championship side Birmingham City in a 1-0 victory. The goalkeeper is likely to start on Sunday at 12:00 am (AEST) in EFL League One against Reading.
Cameron Burgess (cap #633) played 62 minutes of Swansea City's penalty victory over Plymouth Argyle. The sides were level at full-time, 1-1, before the match was decided on penalties, 5-3. Burgess could start on Sunday at 12:00 am (AEST) in the EFL Championship against Sheffield Wednesday.
Massimo Luongo (cap #571) scored his first Millwall goal, playing the first half as they beat Coventry City 2-1. The midfielder is likely to start on Sunday at 12:00 am (AEST) against Wrexham in the EFL Championship.
Callum Elder (cap #614) picked up an assist in Derby County's 2-1 loss to Burnley, playing the first half. Elder could start on Sunday at 12:00 am (AEST) when Derby travel to Ipswich Town.
In further EFL Championship weekend action, Sam Silvera (cap #634) is likely to start on Saturday at 9:30 pm (AEST) when Middlesbrough host Sheffield United. Tom Glover could be on the bench.
Nestory Irankunda (cap #643), who is returning to the Socceroos for the September friendlies, will look to build on his first goal for Watford when they take on Southampton at 12:00 am (AEST) on Sunday.
