Our Socceroos Abroad have headed into the latest FIFA Men’s International Window in style, with some outstanding performances from several Australians.
Craig Goodwin grabbed an assist in Saudi Arabia, while Cameron Burgess and Massimo Luongo were involved in a superb first win of the Premier League season for Ipswich Town.

Craig Goodwin (cap #562) picked up an assist in his 78 minutes for Al-Wehda as they lost 3-2 to Damac on Sunday morning in the Saudi Pro League. Al-Wehda remain in the relegation zone, a point away from safety.
In the English Premier League, Cameron Burgess (cap #633) played a full game in Ipswich Town’s 2-1 upset of Tottenham Hotspur on Monday. Massimo Luongo (cap #571) came on in second-half stoppage time for Ipswich. It was the side’s first victory in the Premier League this season, lifting them out of the relegation zone.
In the EFL Championship, Harry Souttar (cap #606) contributed to another clean sheet for Sheffield United in their 1-0 win over Sheffield United on Monday. Souttar made seven clearances in a Player of the Match performance that helped United push level with Sunderland at the top of England’s second tier.
Further, Kusini Yengi (cap #638) got through 78 minutes of Portsmouth’s 3-1 win over Preston North End on Sunday morning. It was a big win for the team, their first in five games, and it lifted them off the foot of the table.
Also in the competition on Sunday, Alexander Robertson (cap #630) played all of Cardiff City’s 3-1 to Blackburn Rovers.
In the EFL League One, Gethin Jones (cap #639) made his return from injury for Bolton Wanderers, coming on in the 57th minute of their 5-0 loss to Stockport County on Sunday morning.
Also in League One on Sunday, Keanu Baccus (cap #628) played 57 minutes for Mansfield Town as they lost 1-0 to Wrexham.
In the Bundesliga, Jackson Irvine (#568) played a full game as St Pauli were edged out 1-0 by Bayern Munich on Sunday.
In Serie B, Ajdin Hrustic (cap #589) came on in the 12th minute for Salernitana as they lost 2-0 to Bari on Monday. Hrustic played well in the match, creating three chances.
In Serie A, Maty Ryan (cap #555) was on the bench for Roma’s 3-2 loss to Bologna on Monday.
In J. League, Mitch Duke (cap #559) came on in the 77th minute of Machida Zelvia’s 3-0 win against FC Tokyo on Saturday. The victory keeps Machida still with a chance of taking the title, sitting in third with two games to play; four points away from top side Vissel Kobe.
Also in Japan’s top flight, Mitch Langerak (cap #566) kept a clean sheet for Nagoya Grampus as they drew 0-0 with Kashima Antlers on Saturday afternoon.
Aiden O’Neill (cap #629) played a full game for Standard Liege in their 5-0 loss to Gent on Monday in Belgium’s First Division A.
John Iredale (cap #640) scored in AaB’s 2-2 draw with Lyngby on Monday in Denmark’s Superligaen. The striker played 77 minutes and now has three goals in his last four matches.
In Croatia’s HNL, Fran Karicic (cap #607) helped NK Lokomotiva earn a clean sheet in their 3-1 win over Sibenik on Saturday morning. The right-back put on a competitive display, winning all of his ground duels and three of his four tackles. The result keeps the side clear of the relegation zone for now.
In the Scottish Premiership, Ryan Strain (cap #624) played all of Dundee United’s 3-0 win over Ross County on Sunday, contributing to a clean sheet. Josh Nisbet (cap #642) played 87 minutes for Ross County.
Also in the Scottish top flight, Apostolos Stamatelopoulos (cap #644) played 68 minutes for Motherwell in their 2-1 to St Johnstone on Sunday.
Kye Rowles (cap #622) and Cameron Devlin (cap #625) started Hearts’ 1-0 loss to Rangers on Monday. Rowles played a full game, while Devlin played 78 minutes.
Finally, Martin Boyle (cap #599) missed a penalty in his 66 minutes for Hibernian as they lost 2-1 to St. Mirren on Sunday.
In the Danish Superliga, Mohamed Toure (cap #636) and Paul Izzo played full games for Randers in their 1-0 loss to Silkeborg on Monday.

In the Swedish Allsvenskan, Alex Gersbach (cap #587) notched an assist and contributed to a clean sheet for Kalmar FF in their 1-0 win over Hacken on Monday. Gersbach proved a critical player for his team in the left wing-back position in a standout display.
Jamie Maclaren (cap #584) and Dimitri Petratos (cap # 593) started for Mohan Bagan SG on Monday morning in the Indian Super League as they drew 1-1 with Odisha FC. Petratos earned a full game as he picked up an assist. Maclaren was replaced by Jason Cummings (cap #626) in the 77th minute.
In Thai League, Kenny Dougall (cap #608) played a full game for Buriram United in their 1-1 draw with Rayong FC on Sunday night. United are six points off first-placed Bangkok United with three games in hand.
