Starting in Saudi Arabia, where Craig Goodwin (cap #562) played a full game and scored a goal for Al-Wehda in a 4-1 loss to a star-studded Al-Hilal side featuring the likes of João Cancelo, Kalidou Koulibaly and Rúben Neves on Wednesday.
Al-Hilal hold a three-point lead at the top of the table while Goodwin's side are two points away from safety in the relegation zone.
They return to action on Sunday at 4am (AEDT) against Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq FC.
In transfer news, Mathew Ryan (cap #555) could debut for RC Lens when they face Angers on Monday at 3:15am (AEDT).
Ryan completed a mid-season switch to Ligue 1 outfit RC Lens for the remainder of the 2024/25 season, in a permanent transfer from AS Roma.
Lens will be Ryan's 10th European club since leaving the Central Coast Mariners in 2013 which has seen him ply his trade in Belgium, Spain, England, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy and now France.
Ryan becomes the third Australian to sign with Les Sang et Or after Alex Gersbach in 2018 and Robbie Slater in 1990, who spent four seasons at the club.
Lens sit seventh on the Ligue 1 table.

In transfer news, Thomas Deng (cap #598) will remain in the J1 League after penning a two-year contract with Yokohama F. Marinos.
The 27-year-old has signed with the five-time Japanese champions as a free agent following the conclusion of his contract with Albirex Niigata.
Deng had spent the previous three years with Albirex, claiming the J2 League title in his first season in 2022. Prior to that, he plied his trade at Urawa Red Diamonds after transferring from Melbourne Victory in 2020.
Deng, who has five international caps for Australia, is delighted to be joining one of the country's most successful clubs.
