Some Socceroos abroad displayed some sharp early season form as more competitive European football edges closer.

Nestor Irankunda (cap #643) scored his second goal in Bayern Munich’s pre-season, bagging the equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Duren on Sunday night. Irankunda came on in the 66th minute for Bayern.
Lewis Miller (cap #635) bagged a brace as Hibernian convincingly downed Peterhead in Scotland’s League Cup on Sunday morning. Martin Boyle (cap #599) also played a full game for Hibs.
Mohamed Toure (cap #636) continued to put himself in the frame for a starting berth. He came off the bench for Randers in the 57th minute to score their third in a 3-1 win over Viborg in the Danish Superliga. Paul Izzo was the goalkeeper for Randers.
In the Swiss Super League, Awer Mabil (cap #597) picked up an assist in Grasshopper’s 2-2 draw with Luzern on Sunday. The winger got through 81 minutes for the hosts.
Riley McGree (cap #509) found the net in Middlesbrough’s thrilling 5-3 friendly win over Doncaster Rovers on Saturday night in a friendly.
In Norway’s Elitserien, Gianni Stensness (cap #671) also played a full game and kept a clean sheet as Viking downed Molde 1-0 on Monday morning.
Aiden O’Neill (cap #629) played all of Standard Liege’s 0-0 draw with Genk on the opening day of the Belgian First Division A season on Sunday night.
Also in Belgium’s top flight on Sunday, Jordan Bos (cap #632) had to be replaced after 30 minutes, picking up an injury in Westerlo’s 3-0 win against Cercle Brugge.
In the Scottish League Cup, Ryan McGowan (cap #546) played a full game as Livingston went down 1-0 to Spartans on Sunday.
Harrison Delbridge (cap #623) played all of Incheon United’s 1-0 loss to FC Seoul on Saturday night in K-League 1.
Alex Gersbach (cap #587) remained on the bench as Kalmar FF lost 2-0 to IFK Norrkoping on Saturday night in Sweden’s Allsvenskan.
John Iredale (cap #640) got through all of AaB’s 2-1 win against Silkeborg on Sunday morning in the Danish Superligaen.
In Major League Soccer, Brad Smith (cap #575) was on the bench for Houston Dynamo’s 1-0 loss to Atlas on Sunday morning.
Alessandro Circati (cap #637) played a full game and kept a clean sheet for Parma in their 2-0 friendly victory over Galatasaray on Sunday. The 20-year-old was impressive in the centre of defence, making two interceptions and seven blocks.
Joe Gauci (cap #631) played the first half of Aston Villa’s 4-1 loss to Columbus Crew in a friendly.
Denis Genreau (cap #610) played a full game for Toulouse as they edged past Roma 1-0 in a friendly on Sunday morning. Maty Ryan (cap #555) was on the Roma bench.
Cameron Burgess (cap #633) played the second half of Ipswich Town’s 2-1 loss to Fortuna Dusseldorf in a friendly. Massimo Luongo (cap #571) came off in the 66th minute on Sunday.
Keanu Baccus (cap #628) was taken off in the 34th minute of Mansfield Town’s 1-0 friendly win over Oxford United on Sunday.
Also in a friendly, Cameron Devlin (cap #625) and Kye Rowles (cap #622) played full games for Hearts as they lost 3-0 to Fleetwood Town.
Subway Olyroos
Giuseppe Bovalina scored his first goal for Vancouver Whitecaps with a rocket of strike in a friendly against Wrexham on Sunday. The Whitecaps went down 4-1.
Louis D’Arrigo was an unused substitute in Lechia Gdansk’s 2-0 loss to Motor Lubin in Ekstraklasa on Saturday.
