Starting in the Championship, where Nestory Irankunda (cap #643) came on in the 64th minute and scored a goal in a 3-1 loss to Stoke City on Sunday.
With his side trailing 2–0, Irankunda produced a trademark moment of magic. The 20-year-old collected the ball around 25 metres from goal, took one touch and unleashed a dipping, swerving strike that gave goalkeeper Tommy Simkin no chance.
Irankunda had been on the field for less than 20 minutes when he found the net, though Sam Gallagher restored Stoke’s two-goal cushion just three minutes later to seal the result.
