Socceroos Abroad: Italiano scores hat-trick, Juric nets brace, Boyle secures 400th

Jacob Italiano and Deni Juric both put in outstanding goalscoring performances ahead of their Commbank Socceroos call-ups, with some strong displays elsewhere in Europe.

Here is how the action played out for the Socceroos ahead of an important international window. 


Commbank Socceroos

Starting in the Austrian Bundesliga, Jacob Italiano (cap #653) scored a hat-trick for Grazer AK in a 5-1 win against WSG Tirol, played 87 minutes on Sunday. It was the fullback's first goals of the season, which helped his team move closer to a potential place in the UEFA Conference League. 

In Poland, Deni Juric scored a match-winning brace for Wisla Plock in their 2-1 win against Jagiellonia Bialystok on Sunday morning. Juric has five goals this season. 

In the Scottish Premiership, Cameron Devlin (cap #625) played until the 76th minute for Hearts as they edged out Dundee FC 1-0 on Sunday. It was the midfielder's first minutes since January in a timely return for the Jam Tarts' title run-in.  

Elsewhere in the competition, Martin Boyle (cap #599) and new call-up Ante Suto started up front together and played 68 minutes for Hibernian as they drew 0-0 with Motherwell on Sunday morning. It was Boyle's 400th appearance for the Scottish Premiership club. Jack Iredale was on the Hibs bench.                                                                       

In the English Championship, Riley McGree (cap #609) played a full game for Middlesbrough in a 0-0 draw with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday night. 

On Sunday morning, Nestory Irankunda (cap #643) got through the full game for Watford in their 0-0 draw with Leicester City, while Cameron Burgess (cap #633) played all of Swansea City's 3-0 loss to Coventry City.

In EFL League One, Joe Gauci (cap #631) kept a clean sheet for Port Vale in a 1-0 win over Bolton Wanderers on Sunday morning. 

Alex Robertson (cap #630) played until the 61st minute for Cardiff City in their 0-0 draw with Blackpool Saturday night. 

In Spain’s La Liga, Maty Ryan (cap #555) was in goal for Levante's crucial 4-2 win over Real Oviedo on Sunday. The result leaves Levante within a win of jumping out of the drop zone. 

On Sunday morning in MLS, Patrick Yazbek (cap #641) played 68 minutes for Nashville as they beat Orlando 5-0. Kye Rowles (cap #622) contributed to a clean sheet for DC United, playing a full game in their 0-0 draw with Atlanta United.

In more Sunday MLS action, recent call-up Lucas Herrington played a full game for Colorado Rapids as they beat Sporting KC 4- 1.

On Monday in the United States, Kai Trewin (cap #656) and Aiden O'Neill (cap #629) played full games for New York City in their 3-2 loss to Inter Miami. 

In Eredivisie, Jordan Bos (cap #632) played all of Feyenoord's 1-1 draw with Ajax on Monday morning. 

On Saturday morning, Ajdin Hrustic (cap #589) played a full game for Heracles as they drew 1-1 with Excelsior, while Max Balard (cap #652) was subbed off in the 89th minute for NAC Breda as they lost 2-1 to PEC Zwolle. 

In Serie A, Alessandro Circati (cap #637) played until the 61st minute for Parma as they lost 2-0 to Cremonese on Sunday morning. 

In the German Bundesliga, Jackson Irvine (cap #568) played all of St. Pauli's 2-1 loss ot Freiburg on Monday, with Connor Metcalfe (cap #611) coming off the bench in the 84th minute for the side. 

Paul Izzo (cap #650) was in goal for Randers' 3-0 loss to Silkeborg on Monday in Denmark.

Over in Croatia, Fran Karacic (cap #607) played a full game for Osijek as they claimed a 0-0 draw with Slaven on Monday. Elsewhere, Anthony Kalik was subbed on in the 73rd minute for Hajduk Split in a 6-0 win against Vukovar 91 on Sunday.
