Maty Ryan made his debut for Roma midweek while Socceroos Abroad action continues this weekend, featuring festive fixtures across the United Kingdom and Europe as our players take centre stage.

Starting Italy, where Maty Ryan (cap #555) played his first competitive minutes of the season for Roma, helping his side to a 4-1 Coppa Italia win over Sampdoria on Thursday.
Ryan, 32, joined Italian giants Roma in July after departing from the Dutch side AZ Alkmaar. Since his arrival, the Subway Socceroos skipper has had to bide his time as the backup to Serbian international goalkeeper Mile Svilar, but new head coach Claudio Ranieri has now handed Ryan his debut.
They return to Serie A action on Sunday at 10:30pm (AEDT) against Parma.
Elsewhere in Italy, Ajdin Hrustic (cap #589) should feature again for Salernitana in Serie B when they host Brescia on Saturday at 6:30am (AEDT).
In the Europa Conference League, Kye Rowles (cap #622) and Cameron Devlin (cap #625) both played full games for Heart of Midlothian in a 2-2 draw with FC Petrocub Hîncești on Friday. The draw knocked Hearts out of the competition on goal difference as they finished on seven points.
They return to Scottish Premiership action against St Johnstone on Monday at 2am (AEDT).
Elsewhere in Scotland, Lewis Miller (cap #635) and Martin Boyle's (cap #599) Hibernian travel to high-flying Aberdeen on Sunday at 2am (AEDT).
Apostolos Stamatelopoulos (cap #644) could also appear for Motherwell when they host Kilmarnock on Saturday at 6:45am (AEDT).

In the Scottish Championship, Ryan McGowan (cap #546) should start for Livingston against Ayr on Sunday at 2am (AEDT) while his brother Dylan McGowan’s (cap #590) Hamilton Academical travel to league leaders Falkirk FC at the same time.
In the Premier League, where Cam Burgess (cap #633) and Massimo Luongo (cap #571) could also feature on Sunday at 1:30am (AEDT) when Ipswich host Newcastle, looking for back-to-back wins after a dramatic last-minute win last weekend against Wolves.
Joe Gauci's (cap #631) Aston Villa also host Manchester City on Saturday at 11:30pm (AEDT).
In the English Championship, Harry Souttar (cap #606) is likely to feature for Sheffield United again when they travel to Alexander Robertson's (cap #630) Cardiff City on Sunday at 2am (AEDT).
United moved three points clear at the top of the English second tier following Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Preston North End over the weekend.
Riley McGree (cap #509) could also feature for Middlesbrough when they travel to Plymouth Argyle on Sunday at 2am (AEDT).
