Maty Ryan and Levante secured LaLiga survival on the final day, completing a dramatic great escape despite defeat to Real Betis.

In Spain’s La Liga, Maty Ryan (cap #555) was in goal for Levante in a 2-1 loss to Real Betis on the final day of the season.

Despite the defeat, Levante completed their great escape and secured survival, staying up thanks to their superior head-to-head record over Mallorca. Ryan, who performed brilliantly throughout, finished the campaign with nine clean sheets in 36 matches.

 
In the English Championship play-offs, Riley McGree (cap #609) played 76 minutes for Middlesbrough before being forced off with a left hamstring injury in their last-gasp 1-0 defeat to Hull City at Wembley.

McGree pulled up following a challenge late in the second half, with the extent of the injury yet to be confirmed ahead of Australia’s opening World Cup group stage match against Türkiye.

Sam Silvera (cap #634) was an unused substitute as Boro’s Premier League dream ended in heartbreaking fashion, despite their late reinstatement into the final following Southampton’s expulsion from the play-offs.


In the MLS, Lucas Herrington (cap #658) played another full game for Colorado Rapids in a 2-1 loss to FC Dallas on Sunday.

Elsewhere in the MLS, Kye Rowles (cap #622) also played a full game for DC United on Sunday in a 4-4 draw with CF Montréal.

Kai Trewin (cap #656) played 85 minutes for New York City FC in a 2-1 loss to Nashville SC on Sunday.

In Serie A, Alessandro Circati (cap #637) completed another full game and helped Parma keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 win over U.S. Sassuolo Calcio on Sunday, securing a 13th-place finish.

The 22-year-old ended the season strongly, helping Parma snap a three-match losing run. Across the campaign, Circati kept 11 clean sheets from 31 Serie A appearances as the club finished comfortably in mid-table.

In Spain's second tier, Awer Mabil (cap #597) was an unused substitute for Castellón in a 1-0 win over SD Huesca on Monday to keep their promotion play-off chances alive.

Looking to the Czech Republic, Garang Kuol (cap #627) came off the bench in the 75th minute for Sparta Prague in a 2-1 win over FC Hradec Králové on Sunday to secure second place in the league.

In Bosnia-Herzegovina, Tomi Juric (cap #561) was an unused substitute for Zrinjski Mostar in a 2-2 draw with FK Rudar Prijedor on Monday.
