Socceroos Abroad: Suto and Boyle combine in Scotland, Toure returns to action in England

It was a productive return for some CommBank Socceroos abroad this weekend as Ante Suto scored off a Martin Boyle assist in Scotland.

Mohamed Toure also made his way back from injury in England in a welcomed boost ahead of the FIFA World Cup.

In the Scottish Premiership, recent call-up Ante Suto scored for Hibernian, coming on in the 64th minute of a 3-0 win against Kilmarnock on Sunday morning. Martin Boyle (cap #599) was subbed on in the 88th minute and picked up the assist for Suto’s goal, while Jack Iredale played a full game in defence.


In the EFL Championship, Mohamed Toure (cap #636) made his return from injury, being subbed on in the 63rd minute of Norwich’s 1-1 draw with Portsmouth on Saturday morning. The striker had made a flying start to his time in England before being sidelined, with five goals and one assist in four games, including a hat-trick on his first start for Norwich.
