With many European seasons fast approaching, Socceroos abroad are preparing for another campaign, with many tackling top-flight football.
There were some outstanding individual performances midweek, and this weekend, there will be some important minutes to build up ahead of the new campaign.

Subway Socceroos
In the Danish Superliga, Mohamed Toure (cap #636) played from the 65th minute of Randers’ 3-2 opening round win over Vejle Boldklub on Monday, assisting his team’s stoppage-time winner.
Paul Izzo also played a full game in goal for Randers. The side face Viborg on Sunday at 10:00pm (AEST).
Nestory Irankunda (cap #643) scored once and assisted twice in Bayern Munich’s 14-1 thumping of FC Rottach-Egern on Thursday.
The winger could be in line for some more minutes on Sunday at 11:30pm (AEST) as Bayern take on Duren in another friendly.
In Norway’s Eliteserien, Patrick Yazbek (cap #641) and Gianni Stesness (cap #617) started Viking’s 1-0 defeat to FK Haugesund on Monday morning. Stesness will likely feature again when Viking host Molde on Monday at 3:15 am (AEST).
However, Major League Soccer outfit Nashville announced the signing of Yazbek on Tuesday.
After making his debut for Aalborg BK (AaB) in the Danish Superliga last week, John Iredale (cap #640) should get some more minutes on Monday morning when the side host Silkeborg at 12:00am (AEST).
Maty Ryan (cap #555) played the second half of Roma’s 1-1 draw with FC Kosice in their friendly on Tuesday morning.
Harry Souttar (cap #606) played the second half of Leicester City’s 2-1 win over Shrewsbury Town in a friendly yesterday. Souttar is likely to play again when Leicester face Palermo on Saturday at 4:00am (AEST).
Riley McGree (cap #609) played from the hour mark in Middlesbrough’s 1-0 win over Gateshead on Wednesday. The midfielder should get some more minutes when Middlesbrough travel to Doncaster on Saturday at 11:00pm (AEST).
Callum Elder (cap #614) started Derby County’s 4-0 defeat in Chesterfield in a friendly on Wednesday. Derby are in action again on Sunday at 12:00am (AEST) against Shrewsbury Town.
In Sweden’s Allsvenskan, Alex Gersbach (#587) is unlikely to feature for Kalmarr FF against IFK Norrkoping on Saturday at 11:00pm (AEST) as he recovers from an Achilles tendon injury.
Awer Mabil (#597) could start for Grasshopper when they host Luzern on Sunday at 2:00am (AEST) in the Swiss Super League.
Jackson Irvine (cap #568) and Connor Metcalfe (cap #611) started St Pauli’s 1-0 friendly win over Lyon on Thursday.
Jordan Bos (cap #632) is likely to start for Westerlo in their Belgian First Division A opener against Cercle Brugge on Monday at 3:15am (AEST).
Newly-minted Standard Liege captain Aiden O’Neill (cap #629) should start for the side against Genk on Sunday at 9:30 pm (AEST) in the same competition.
Alessandro Circati (cap #637) could get some minutes when Parma face Galatasaray on Sunday at 3:30am (AEST) in a friendly.
In K-League 1, Harrison Delbridge (cap #623) could play in Incheon United’s home match against FC Seoul on Saturday at 8:30pm (AEST).
For India’s Mohun Bagan SG, Dimitri Petratos (cap 593), Jason Cummings (cap #626) and new signing Jamie Maclaren (cap #584) could get their first taste of action this season. Mohun take on Downtown Heroes FC on Saturday at 10:30pm (AEST) in the first round of the Durand Cup.
Joe Gauci (#631) has joined up as part of Aston Villa’s US tour squad with their first game on Sunday at 10:00am (AEST) against Columbus Crew.
Cameron Burgess (cap #633) and Massimo Luongo (cap #571) are likely to build fitness in Ipswich Town’s friendly with Dusseldorf on Sunday at 12:00am (AEST).
Gethin Jones (cap #639) could feature in Bolton Wanderers’ friendly against Fiorentina on Saturday at 4:30am (AEST).
Keanu Baccus (cap #628) could feature in Mansfield Town’s home friendly against Oxford United on Sunday at 12:00am (AEST).
Ryan Strain (cap #624) did not play in Dundee United’s comprehensive Scottish League Cup group stage win over Buckie Thistle on Wednesday. Dundee host Luton Town in a friendly on Saturday at 4:45 am (AEST).
Martin Boyle (cap #599) played the first half of Hibernian’s 3-2 defeat to Watford on Thursday. He could start against when Hibs play Peterhead in the League Cup on Sunday at 12:00am (AEST).
Ryan McGowan (cap #546) might feature for Livingston in their home league cup tie against Spartans on Sunday at 12:00am (AEST).
Cameron Devlin (cap #625) and Kye Rowles (cap #622) are likely to play for Hearts as they host Fleetwood Town on Sunday at 12:00 am (AEST).
Dylan McGowan (cap #590) could feature in the League Cup for Hamilton Academical away to Raith Rovers on Sunday at 12:00am (AEST).
Brad Smith (cap #575) could start for Houston Dynamo in their home tie with Atlas in the Leagues Cup on Sunday at 10:00 am (AEST). The left-sided player came off the bench last weekend to score and help Houston come back to claim the points.

Alexandar Popovic might feature for Gwangju on Saturday when they host Suwon in K League 1 at 8:00 pm (AEST).
Louis D’Arrigo might play his first competitive game of the season when Lechia Gdansk host Motor Lublin on Saturday at 4:30 am (AEST) in Ekstraklasa.
