Socceroos Abroad: Toure starts in Danish Superliga opener, Degenek and Yengi score

Mohamed Toure started for Randers in Denmark, while Kusini Yengi and Milos Degenek both found the net in action for Aberdeen and TSC Bačka Topola, respectively.

In Serbia, Milos Degenek (cap #585) was in action for TSC Bačka Topola overnight, playing the full match and scoring in their 2-1 victory over Radnički Niš on Sunday.

In the Danish Superliga, Mohamed Toure (cap #636) played 66 minutes for Randers, who surrendered their lead to concede a last-minute equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Vejle Boldklub on Sunday.

In the Scottish League Cup group stages, Cameron Devlin (cap #625) played the full game as they beat Stirling Albion FC 4-0 on Sunday.

Elsewhere in Scotland, pre-season continued to build with Martin Boyle (cap #599) playing 66 minutes for Hibernian as they lost 2-0 to Bolton on Sunday.

 


Ryan Strain (cap #624) came on in the 54th minute for Dundee United as they drew 0-0 with Oldham Athletic AFC on Saturday. 

Kusini Yengi (cap #638) played 57 minutes and scored a goal for Aberdeen in a 4-1 behind-closed-doors loss to Fulham to continue their preparations. 

Elsewhere in the Scottish Premiership pre-season, Marco Tilio (cap #616) came off the bench in the 63rd minute as Celtic beat Newcastle 4-0 on Sunday.

In the MLS, Patrick Yazbek (cap #641) came off the bench in the 74th minute in a 1-0 win over Toronto on Sunday.

Kye Rowles (cap #622) played the full game for DC United in a 2-1 loss to Columbus on Sunday.

Elsewhere in the United States, Aiden O'Neill (cap #629) also played a full game for New York City as they drew 1-1 with Sporting Kansas City on Sunday.

Finally, in North America, Brad Smith (cap #575) was an unused substitute for FC Cincinnati in a 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake on Sunday.

In English Championship preparations, Hayden Matthews (cap #648) played another half an hour as Portsmouth beat Crawley 1-0 on Sunday.

Cameron Burgess (cap #633) appeared in the Swansea City shirt for the first time as they played two one-hour friendly matches against Stevenage FC on Saturday, in a 2-2 draw.

 


Gethin Jones (cap #639) also featured in pre-season for Milton Keynes Dons as they continued their League Two preparations with two friendlies against Doncaster Rovers FC on Sunday.

Awer Mabil (cap #597) also started in pre-season for Castellon on Sunday in a 2-1 win over Valencia CF.

 

Over to Japan and the J1 League, where Thomas Deng (cap #598) played a full game for Yokohama F. Marinos in a 3-0 win over Nagoya Grampus on Sunday.

In Korea's second tier, John Iredale (cap #640) played the full game for Seoul E-Land in a 1-0 loss to Seongnam FC on Saturday. 

In transfer news, Nestory Irankunda (cap #643) completed a transfer to EFL Championship side Watford FC for an undisclosed fee from German giants Bayern Munich. 

 


The 19-year-old agreed to join the Hornets in a permanent move reportedly worth €3 million ($5.3 million AUD), with Bayern also inserting a 50% sell-on clause and retaining a buy-back option.
