Defender Harry Souttar will miss the Subway Socceroos' international friendly against Ecuador in Melbourne on Tuesday, 28 March.
The 24-year-old sustained a knock to his ankle during the Subway Socceroos match against the same opposition on Friday night in Sydney.
Due to the short turnaround between matches, and following consultation with the team’s medical staff, it was confirmed that Souttar would not be able to recover in time to take his place in the squad for Tuesday night’s encounter in Melbourne.
Souttar will return to England immediately to aid his recovery.
