Squad notes: Seven potential debutants, three first call-ups, five returning players for the November FIFA Window
CommBank Socceroos Head Coach Tony Popovic has named a 25-player squad for the side's final FIFA International Window of the year.
Popovic has made eight changes to the squad that hosted Brazil at the end of September, with three players receiving their first-ever call-up, and five players earning a recall to the side for the November FIFA Window.
Read an overview of some of the changes from the last squad below.
First-time call-ups
Diesel Herrington
Diesel Herrington earns his first call-up after a solid start to the A-League Men's season with Central Coast Mariners, playing every minute in their opening four games.
Herrington is a strong central defender and will get the opportunity to play alongside his younger brother, Lucas, who made his debut for his country in March and went on to be named in the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
The central defender signed for the Central Coast Mariners ahead of the 2024/25 season, making the move back to Australia after two seasons with AGF in Denmark.
Sam Klein
Sam Klein will join FC St. Pauli teammate Connor Metcalfe for the upcoming FIFA International Window, with the central midfielder recieving his first-ever call-up.

Ahead of the 2026/27 2. Bundesliga season, the midfielder signed with FC St. Pauli, making seven appearances to start the season. Klein featured for the CommBank Young Socceroos back in 2022 for the Four Continents Tournament in Spain when Australia took on Chile, England, and Morocco.
Thomas Waddingham
Thomas Waddingham has earned his first call-up to the CommBank Socceroos after scoring two EFL Championship goals in three appearances for Portsmouth.

The striker scored in Pompey's 3-1 win over Swansea City last weekend, and also scored an 82nd-minute winner against Millwall in his side's 2-1 victory in October.
Returning players
Gianni Stensness
The defensive midfielder earns a recall to Tony Popovic's squad for the first time since the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Pre-Camp in Sarasota, but was not selected for the final squad for the tournament.

Stensness opened the scoring for Viking FK in their 3-3 UEFA Champions League draw with Bayern Munich, becoming the fifth CommBank Socceroo to score in Europe's premier club competition since the overhaul.
Daniel Arzani
The winger earns his first recall to the senior squad since he featured in Popovic's squad that faced Canada and the USA in North America in October 2025.

Arzani made his UEFA Europa League debut during his side's qualifying victory over Polish side Górnik Zabrze, helping lead his team to the league phase of the tournament. The winger scored a goal against his former club, Celtic, in the competition, with his goal in the 3-1 victory named the UEFA Europa League Goal of the Day.
Joe Gauci
The goalkeeper earns a recall to Tony Popovic's squad for the first time since the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Pre-Camp in Sarasota, and will be looking to add to his eight senior appearances when he travels to the Middle East.

Gauci has spent the 2026/27 season on loan from Aston Villa with Lincoln City in League One, having made two appearances for the club during the EFL Cup. Helping his side advance to the third round after a 4-1 victory over Blackpool, he then featured in goals for the third-round match against Premier League side AFC Bournemouth, ultimately going down 4-0 and being knocked out of the competition.
Tom Glover
Another goalkeeper who has been recalled to Popovic's side is Tom Glover, with the shotstopper last in the squad during the 'Soccer Ashes' series in September 2025 when Australia and New Zealand battled for the trophy.

Glover will be aiming to make his senior debut for his country, and will be hoping his three clean sheets across 15 appearances for RB Omiya Ardija in the J2 League will be enough to earn him a cap.
Kusini Yengi
Yengi will have the chance to represent his country alongside his brother, Tete, for the first time, earning a recall to the squad for the first time since being named in the squad for Australia's World Cup qualifiers against Japan and Saudi Arabia.
The striker is in line for his first Socceroos appearance since November 2024, when he scored twice against Bahrain to earn a crucial point in World Cup qualifying.

Since his last appearance for Australia, Yengi has made the move from Aberdeen FC in the Scottish Premiership to J1 League club Cerezo Osaka on loan; however, a thigh injury forced him back to Scotland for rehabilitation.
He then joined J1 League club Sanfrecce Hiroshima on loan from Scotland in August 2026, having played two matches for the club and picking up 1 assist.
Potential Debutants
Seven players will be out to make their debut in the November Window, with Eli Adams, Kealey Adamson and Kasey Bos all rewarded for the promising signs they showed during the Brazil series in September with another call-up.
Diesel Herrington, Sam Klein and Thomas Waddingham will be hoping to celebrate their maiden call-up to the senior national team with a cap during the November Window.
Tom Glover rounds out the seventh player heading to the Middle East without a cap under their belt.
