CommBank Socceroos Head Coach Tony Popovic has named a 26-player squad to take on Brazil in Queensland in September.
Popovic has made ten changes to the squad that competed at the FIFA World Cup 2026™ as the boss looks to refresh and reward performances ahead of the next cycle and with an AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ on the horizon.

First time call-ups
Jacob Chapman
St Mirren goalkeeper Jacob Chapman has earned his first senior call-up to the CommBank Socceroos after featuring regularly in the Scottish Premiership this season.
The 25-year-old was born in Sydney, representing Sydney United 58 and Marconi Stallions in the NPL NSW, before moving abroad in 2019 to pursue an opportunity with Huddersfield Town. Various loan spells in England ensued, but it has been at St Mirren this season where he has found his feet. Key performances this season have included a penalty save in his side's 1-0 victory over St Johnstone, and - most recently - six saves against Cammy Devlin's Rangers.
The call-up is just reward for a goalkeeper with plenty of years still ahead.
Kealey Adamson
Kealey Adamson earns his first call-up after solid performances for Queens Park Rangers in the EFL Championship.
The 23-year-old right-back is best known in Australia for his two-season spell with Macarthur FC, where he made 39 appearances. He signed for QPR last season and has been finding consistent minutes this campaign, with three starts and three showings off the bench. Adamson has also represented his country at the Australian U23 level.
The youngster from Sydney continues to improve and is sure to learn plenty from his first experience with the senior national team.
Eli Adams
Eli Adams is an exciting attacking prospect who has been called up after learning his craft in the J1 League this season.
Adams played in the A-League for Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory, before making a name for himself in the historic Newcastle Jets run of last season. He scored nine goals in 24 appearances in 2024/25 before backing that up with eight goals in 21 appearances last campaign, earning himself the overseas move.
The 24-year-old from Toowoomba will be ready to impress coaching staff in his first senior camp.
Yaya Dukuly
Young winger Yaya Dukuly earned his latest overseas move in the off-season, and now has earned his first call-up with the CommBank Socceroos.
The 23-year-old - who has been a regular for Australia at youth level - was initially on the books of Melbourne City before returning home to Adelaide United where he made over 60 appearances across two stints.
While a move with Reims in 2022 didn't quite work out, he has been appearing regularly for Celje in Slovenia this season, scoring goals in UEFA Champions League qualifying and in the league this season.
Marcus Younis
Marcus Younis has been a name on the lips of many over the past few seasons, and now has earned his first call-up to the CommBank Socceroos.
The 21-year-old scored seven goals in 12 games for Melbourne City earlier this year and has hit the ground running in Denmark, with two goals and an assist for Brondby this campaign.
The youngster is the kind of player with magic in his boots and is capable of being a difference-maker for Tony Popovic's side.
Returning players
Riley McGree
Attacking midfielder Riley McGree returns to the CommBank Socceroos after missing the World Cup due to injury.
The Middlesbrough man is a creative force at his best and was an unfortunate miss at the global finals.
Since his return, he has featured regularly for Middlesbrough in the EFL Championship - contributing an assist - and his return to the Socceroos is only a positive for the squad.
Patrick Yazbek
Patrick Yazbek may have narrowly missed out on the World Cup, but the midfielder has plenty to offer after impressing in the MLS this year.
The 24-year-old has made six appearances for Nashville SC since recovering from a muscle injury that kept him out of games in August and is contributing to a solid run of form for his side, with only one loss in that period.
The central midfielder will contribute defensive solidity and forward momentum to the CommBank Socceroos.
Alexander Robertson
Alexander Robertson has impressed mightily for Cardiff this season and has been rewarded with a Socceroos call-up as a result.
The 23-year-old has been employed in a deeper role in midfield for club this season to great effect. He has started all nine games for Cardiff so far this season in both the EFL Championship and the EFL Cup.
The three-time Socceroo will add creativity and adventure in midfield in this window.
Other Potential Debutants
Dylan Leonard
Dylan Leonard has been called up for the first time since the pre-World Cup camp and is in line for a potential debut during this international window.
The 19-year-old earned a move overseas to Germany after a standout year with Western United in the A-League in 2025. Now on loan in the third tier at Alemannia Aachen, he started the most recent game against Wurzberger Kickers, and will hope to earn a starting place back at Schalke in the future as he continues to develop.
The centre-back has done enough to impress Tony Popovic and earn a second call-up.
Kasey Bos
The younger brother of Jordy Bos, Kasey, has earned his second call-up with the national team after signing for Excelsior this season.
The 22-year-old left-back earned a move to Mainz in 2025 before being loaned to the Netherlands this season. He has started the previous two games after recovering from a shoulder injury and is highly rated by many, with Popovic keen to have another look at the youngster.
The younger Bos will hope he has done enough to earn a senior national debut this time out.
