The Australian-based Subway Socceroos are back in action for Round 13 of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2022/23 season this weekend.
Subway Socceroos will again be involved on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in what promises to be another gripping round of football.
Remarkably just six points separates third place from 10th spot on the table.
Check out our preview below.
Adelaide United vs Macarthur FC
Craig Goodwin’s Adelaide United begin the round by hosting Macarthur FC at Coopers Stadium on Friday night.
The Reds Captain scored his fifth goal of the season via a clever finish on his weaker foot in a 1-1 draw against Melbourne Victory last time out.
The 31-year-old, who has netted twice in 14 caps for his country, is also one away from notching his 50th goal for the South Australian club.
Western United vs Sydney FC
Sydney FC and Andrew Redmayne travel to Hobart to tackle Western United.
The Sky Blues are winless in their previous two matches and Redmayne will also be targeting a second clean sheet of the season.
Brisbane Roar vs Melbourne City
The attacking trident of Jamie Maclaren, Mathew Leckie and Marco Tilio feature on Saturday night when Melbourne City face Brisbane Roar.
Maclaren’s record-breaking 10-match scoring streak came to an end against Western Sydney Wanderers and will no doubt be determined to get back amongst the goals.
Tilio also went goalless against the Wanderers despite having a couple of good chances to add to his season tally.
Meanwhile, Leckie will also be keen to add more goals to his name this campaign.
Wellington Phoenix vs Central Coast Mariners
Jason Cummings and Danny Vukovic fly across the Tasman as second-ranked Central Coast Mariners take on Wellington Phoenix on Sunday.
Cummings scored his fifth goal in his past seven games in his side’s 2-1 win last weekend against Macarthur.
Cummings remains second in the Golden Boot race behind Maclaren (13) with seven goals for the 2022/23 season.
Vukovic has also been a key contributor with the goalkeeper registering three clean sheets so far this season.
