Adelaide United vs Melbourne City
Three Subway Socceroos will be in action in a Friday night blockbuster at Coopers Stadium as Craig Goodwin's Adelaide United host leaders Melbourne City.
Goodwin operated at left-back in the Original Rivalry last weekend, covering for the suspended Ryan Kitto. The 31-year-old has seven goals and six assists in 17 matches this season.
In a big blow, City will be without Mathew Leckie for up to six weeks after it was revealed he sustained a hamstring injury in training last week.
However, Jamie Maclaren and Marco Tilio certainly helped cover his void against Sydney FC.
Maclaren bagged a brace to move to 18 goals for the campaign and close in within four of Besart Berisha's all-time record of 142 A-League Men's goals.
Tilio also was on target for the first time in seven games with his fourth in 2022/23, courtesy of a sensational individual run and finish from inside his own half. The 21-year-old then grabbed his sixth assist when he set up his Australia teammate.
Western Sydney Wanderers vs Central Coast Mariners
Central Coast Mariners travel to Western Sydney Wanderers in a Saturday afternoon clash at CommBank Stadium.
The Mariners have just the solitary win in their previous six outings and Jason Cummings will be hoping to inspire his team to three points.
Cummings, who was unable to add to his 12-goal tally last weekend, did score against the Wanderers when the two teams last encountered.
Sydney FC vs Melbourne Victory
Sydney FC entertain Melbourne Victory in the Big Blue on Saturday night.
Andrew Redmayne produced some key saves in the second-half against City last weekend to prevent the deficit from growing and will be looking to carry that form into the fierce contest.
After two late cameos, Joel King played just over 25 minutes last weekend and will certainly be pushing for selection with the Sky Blues keen to bounce back from a first loss in five games.
