The Subway Socceroos return to 23rd spot after the latest Men's FIFA Rankings were released.
The Aussies were ranked 24th after the March window, dropping one spot from February but have moved up one position.
Graham Arnold's side remain the fourth best side in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) behind Korea Republic (22) by 0.06 points, IR Iran (20) and Japan (17).
This means the Aussies will be in Pot 2 for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Third Round Asian Qualifiers draw ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday, 27 June.
Australia boasted a perfect record in its Second Round qualifiers, collecting six wins from six matches while not conceding a goal to advance to the next phase of the qualification process.
During the recent June Window, the Subway Socceroos beat Bangladesh 2-0 in Dhaka before registering a 5-0 win over Palestine at Perth's HBF Park.
