Patrick Yazbek has moved to Major League Soccer, signing with Nashville on Tuesday following a stint with Viking in Norway.
The Sydney FC academy product moved to Eliterserien side Viking in 2023 and made 45 appearances for the club in all competitions.
Yazbek also broke into the Subway Socceroos squad last campaign and made his debut against Lebanon in Canberra, where he notched an assist in a 5-0 victory.
The 22-year-old will sign on for Nashville as part of the MLS’ U22 initiative.
This allows clubs to sign players aged 22 or younger for unrestricted acquisition fees that do not count towards the salary cap.
Yazbek will join Nashville as the team looks to push towards a play-off place in MLS, which they are currently one point away from.
He could feature in Nashville’s Leagues Cup clash with Mazatlan on Thursday morning.
