Cristian Volpato receives his first call-up for the national side ready to impress on the international stage.
The 22-year-old was born and raised in Sydney where he spent time with the academies of Sydney FC and the Western Sydney Wanderers. He moved to Roma in 2020 and debuted for the first team in December 2021, scoring his first Serie A goal in February 2022. He has since spent three seasons at Sassuolo.
While still a youngster, Volpato has consistently impressed in Italy as a creative midfielder or winger and will add a unique angle in attack to the squad.
