Bio
Lucas Herrington has enjoyed a remarkable rise from the A-League Men to the CommBank Socceroos and European football.
The Queensland-born centre-back developed through the Brisbane Roar academy before making his senior debut for the club in 2024. He then moved to Major League Soccer with Colorado Rapids, where his performances quickly established him as one of Australia’s most promising young defenders.
Herrington made his CommBank Socceroos debut against Cameroon in March 2026 before earning selection for the FIFA World Cup 2026™. He became Australia’s youngest-ever starter at a World Cup when he lined up against Paraguay and later played the full 120 minutes of the Round of 32 clash with Egypt.
His rapid rise continued with a move to the Premier League with Hull City following the tournament, while his performances for club and country were recognised when he received the 2026 PFA Harry Kewell Medal.
