The CommBank Socceroos have learned their latest FIFA Ranking, issued by the game's governing body following the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup™ 2026.

Before the major tournament, the Aussies were ranked 27th in the world and have slid one place back into 28th spot after a Round of 32 penalty shootout exit to Egypt.
In the Group Stage, Australia defeated Türkiye 2-0, lost 2-0 to the United States and then played out a 0-0 draw against Paraguay prior to the heartbreak against the Pharaohs.

Tony Popovic's men are now the third highest positioned nation from the Asian Football Confederation after Japan (17), IR Iran (22) due to Korea Republic dropping seven places an occupying 32nd.
Spain usurped Argentina as the new World Number 1 after beating the reigning world champions in the final.
Norway was the biggest climber, moving 12 spots into 19th, while Tunisia experienced the biggest drop, falling 12 places to 57th.
