22-year-old Patrick Beach earns his place in his first major tournament after impressing for Melbourne City in the A-League Men’s.
While Beach is still early in his professional career, the young goalkeeper has so far impressed at every turn. He played a key role in City’s A-League Championship in 2024/25 and – after representing Australia at the AFC U-23 Asian Cup 2024™ - was called up by Tony Popovic for the first time in 2025.
His debut against Venezuela showed that he is ready to perform at international level, named Player of the Match after making several impressive saves in the 1-0 defeat. Beach will provide stern competition to Ryan and Izzo as well as gaining valuable experience for a long career ahead.
