32-year-old Milos Degenek brings experience and grit to the Socceroos back line.

Degenek started his professional career in Germany for VfB Stuttgart. His breakthrough came in the 2015/16 season in the 2.Bundesliga for 1860 Munich where he established himself as a first-team player and was rewarded with a Socceroos debut against England in May 2016.

His club career has taken him to clubs such as Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan and Red Star Belgrade in Serbia. Degenek represented both Serbia and Australia at youth level before committing to Australia in 2015.

The centre-back has had somewhat of a second coming under Head Coach Tony Popovic and has well and truly earned a spot at his third World Cup.
