Patrick Yazbek is a composed central midfielder who returns to the CommBank Socceroos squad after not being in contention for FIFA World Cup 2026™ selection through injury.

The Sydney FC academy product began his senior career with the Sky Blues before earning a move to Norwegian side Viking FK in 2023. After impressing in the Eliteserien, Yazbek joined Nashville SC in Major League Soccer the following year.

Yazbek made his Socceroos debut against Lebanon in March 2024, providing an assist in a 5-0 victory in Canberra. The 24-year-old has since continued to develop in the United States and offers the Socceroos a combination of defensive discipline, composure in possession and the ability to progress the ball through midfield.
